Strengthening Regional Identity and Agricultural Promotion through Agorà GAL – Rural Hub Calabria
Calabria’s Local Action Groups (GALs) will take part in Vinitaly and the City from 17 to 19 July at the Parco Archeologico di Sibari, presenting Agorà GAL – Rural Hub Calabria, a shared space dedicated to showcasing the region’s rural excellence. Designed as a hub of encounter and promotion, the Agorà will highlight Calabria’s territorial identity through high‑quality agricultural products, local communities, agritourism enterprises, and traditional food culture. Over the three‑day event, visitors will experience an immersive program featuring live show cooking, guided tastings, and freshly prepared dishes that celebrate Calabria’s emblematic supply chains and culinary heritage. The initiative is part of the Rural Hub Calabria Cooperation Project, funded by the CSR Calabria 2023–2027 – Intervento SRG06, and reflects a strategic collaboration between the region’s GALs and ARSAC aimed at strengthening Calabria’s image on national and international markets. This joint participation underscores a shared commitment to building a cohesive territorial network capable of generating new opportunities for rural development, enhancing local economies, and increasing tourism appeal. GALs are EU‑supported local development partnerships that unite public and private actors to design and implement rural strategies, while ARSAC is the regional agency responsible for supporting agricultural innovation and providing technical assistance to farmers across Calabria.
